Can't create a Mailing list

phplist needs to be installed before massmailer will work.

I get this same error. I looked in the logs and found that the error is generated in database.mysql.inc. The error is as follows:

Unknown column 'public' in 'field list' query: INSERT INTO phplist_list (name, description, listorder, active, public, owner) VALUES ('blarf', 'blarf', '0', '', '0', '1') in /imedia/users/sk8mentald/htdocs/bm_dev/includes/database.mysql.inc on line 66.

I looked in my DB in the phplist_list table, and lo and behold, there is no public field. All the remianing fields specified in the query DO exist however. The name 'blarf' is just a test value. This was with the CVS version of massmailer and phplist 2.9.4. The only noteworthy thing I can think of is that I unpacked phplist from a zip and not a tar as it says to do in the instructions. Is this a version issue with this field? I suppose I will download the tar and see if that helps matters.

Forgot to mention that the above installation was on Drupal 4.6.2.

I found this same error but with drupalid and uniqid

What I did was create a field in the table it was getting the error from called drupalid and I don't get the error no more... but I wonder whats not working :P

Don't know what happened to your db. but the sql dumps that are distributed with massmailer contain the public field.
