The 2.x branch is now a stable, feature-complete replacement for 1.x. Once all of the remaining issues for 2.x are fixed, I'll release 6.x-2.4 and 7.x-2.4 and make them the recommended releases. I will also update the documentation and home page to effectively deprecate the 1.x branch.

I should also clear out issues in the Mail Comment queue and decide whether a new release is warranted.
