Mail2All

Mail to all allows you to send emails to all registered users of your site in a very simple manner. It is simple but it also is flexible. It is useful for the occasions when you need to send a message to everyone in your site.

This is not a newsletter solution, users can’t opt-out. Use this module with care.

Features

  1. Allows you to send a mail to all users of your site.
  2. It has a template system so you can customize the look of your emails.
  3. It is compatible with Mime Mail so you can send HTML mails.
  4. It keeps track of all the emails sent by mail to all.
  5. Mails are not nodes
  6. Basic tokens are enabled
  7. Token integration with RealName
  8. Users can’t opt-out from the list unless they remove their account from your site.
  9. Works with WYSIWYG and IMCE so you can upload images

Why mails are not nodes?

Because I think a problem is never solved by creating another. Making mails nodes has many implications that might not be desirable. A node has comments, so if a mail is also a node you must disable comments for the mail content type and it's extra work someone has to do. Also, a node is automatically indexed by the search mechanism and you might not want that so you'll have to install another module just to prevent that from happening.

Differences versus Mass Contact

Drupal 7

This module was developed for a project running in D6 and that's why it started as a D6 project. I have no intention in the short-time to migrate it to D7.
