Thank you @corneboele for getting that port going. It looks like there's a bug when attempting to set a language under "Languages of content the user is allowed to add or edit".
For example, I am trying to set the user to only be able to edit Chinese (simplified) content and here's what I'm seeing:
There are no entities matching "Simplified (zh-hans)". I attached some screenshots to this bug.
This same issue doesn't happen for two other languages I tested, English and German, but does happen for Canada.
Seeing that this hasn't been worked on for quite some time I'm going to try and troubleshoot it myself, but I'm hoping you'll be able to chime in seeing as you wrote the original code.
Thank you again.

supertony commentedAfter further troubleshooting I found that languages who's language code has a hypen in it (zh-hans for China and en-ca for Canada) do not submit correctly. While English (en), German (de), and Spanish (es) all work fine.

enrocean167 commentedThank you for the feedback @supertony, are you still using this module?
Do you still have this problem? I tried it on my local environment and I could add the Chinese (simplified) language.
