missing / when link file

I have files folder in the root document
When i try to use link it for files its don't work
for example if I'm in example.com/aboutus
the link of file will be point to example.com/aboutus/files/filemame.pdf
while it should be example.com/files/filemame.pdf
If i add extra / its will work fine
