Is there a plan to develop a 6.x version? I could really do with it. I have basic php skills so could conceivably have a go myself, but have no knowledge of drupal. Any pointers to get started?

LDAP provisioning highly depends on LDAP integration module. I will start porting LDAP provisioning to D6 when LDAP integration is ported to to D6.
