I have had this issue since I got the module working. I have hit a complete brick wall in both my knowledge and resources.

I am running the 5.x-1.3 on Apache 2 / MySQL 5 / PHP 5 / Ubuntu 7.04 / Drupal 5.2
It is authenticating to a Windows 2003 domain controller on the local network.

I have tried strace on Apache and tried to track down what part of the code it is hanging on.
Devel doesn't give me any clues either.
