The latest jcarousel plugin is from 2010. Among other new features, it allows setting an itemFallbackDimension that can be used when size can not be determined automatically. See http://github.com/jsor/jcarousel/

Attached patch updates to 0.2.5. I've tested w/D6.19 and in Firefox 3, Chrome, IE7, IE8 with no issues.

Unfortunately the existing jCarousel module JS does not work well with the latest version of jCarousel (so I've heard). But I've included the latest version of jCarousel (now 0.2.7) in the 2.x branch of the module which uses rewritten JS that is fully compatible with the latest code.
