I have a view with active fields for user picture (temporarily) with link to node, and comment count with count # being link to node comments. The comment line shows correctly beneath the image in Views, but is not displaying when the JCarousel style is used.

Have I overlooked a setting somewhere?

My guess is that the comment link is actually there but it's cut off by the default CSS theming of the carousel. You'll probably need to use custom CSS to adjust the carousel to make room for the comments link.

Nope. I checked for that. Oopsie. That was it. I swear, I thought that I had checked that! (Flipping back and forth on different sites development is tricky, eh.)
