This module looks like a simple solution for a project i'm working on, but I'm having a hell of time figuring out how to use replacement patterns in the email body. Is it possible to include arbitrary fields in a user's profile? If so, what's the proper format? E.g., I have added first name and last name fields to users and would like the message bodies to include those. I've tried several variants including

  • [invite:inviter:first-name]
  • [invite:inviter:field-first-name]
  • [invite:inviter:field_first_name]

and nothing is getting replaced. Can anyone help me out?

Problem solved. FTR, in case any one else trips over this. The secret is to install the Token module, which then gives you access to the the current user, rather than trying to grab the user's data from the "inviter."

I can happily report that this module integrates well with Token. With that installed, something like [current-user:field_first_name] does the trick.

Kudos to the maintainers!
