When I try to customize the invite page title and help text, the changes do not show up. The Invite settings > Invite page customization page will still show the new title, but the Invite page itself does not.

smk-ka commentedDoesn't happen for me. Menu title, page title and help text are changed as to whatever I typed in. Not sure though what could be the cause for the described behavior.
anomrabbit commentedI'm not sure what other info I could give. I tried re-installing the module today and the /invite page title still says "Invite your friends and colleagues" even though I've changed it.

smk-ka commentedI don't have time to debug right now, so I just throw in some possible suspects: Caching enabled? Using some sort of internationalization (i18n or localizer modules)? Does it also happen on a fresh Drupal install?
anomrabbit commentedCaching is disabled, Locale is off. I just upgraded to Drupal 5.2 and Invite 1.11 -- I can change the 'Invite help text' but the 'Invite page title' still stays.

smk-ka commentedPlease test if the problem persists with the latest release.
anomrabbit commentedThe title still won't change. I uninstalled and deleted the module and installed a fresh version. I am using Locale now, but even with this module off the title stays. I installed Invite on a test site and there it works fine. Does Invite known to conflict with any other modules?
smk-ka commentedNone that I'm aware of. Could you post (or email me) a list of your active modules? However, since you wrote it works on a fresh install, the only thing that you can do is disabling modules one by one until you find the right one.
anomrabbit commentedI've gone through all of my modules and the title won't change from the default.
I've also installed the same modules on a test site, and the title /does/ change on the test site.
The database shows the variable "invite_page_title" as the custom title I entered.
Do you have any other suggestions?

rares commentedI had the same problem and struggled for a long time until I realized that the problem is due to the fact that there is a menu item linking to /invite with the title that keeps displaying. Delete or reset the menu item.
anomrabbit commentedThat was it! I had disabled the default menu item because it would never show the correct thing -- now I've reset it and it shows what it's supposed to. Thanks!
