In Internet Explorer, I'm getting only a sliver of the page referenced by iframe.
The first couple lines of the page only, not the whole page I specified.
Working as expected in other browsers.

I've read that IE and HTML5 don't like the 100% height specification.

Here's my code:
[[[http://www.stopfoodborneillness.org/example4.htm width=100% height=100% scrolling=no]]]

What is your version of IE ?
What is the url of the calling page ?
Can you see if you have javascript errors ?

height=100% is translated by filter which add a jquery function to calculate height of the iframe. So, i don't think this is a problem with IE and HTLM 5

I use a Mac so I can't test this, but I have had two reports from people who use Internet Explorer saying that only the top quarter of an iFrame is visible since I updated the site to v2.2. You should be able to reproduce the problem by going to http://www.dgfumc.org/calendar and clicking the up-arrow or one of the month links to generate a long page. There is nothing in the Drupal logs - is there somewhere else I should look for errors?

MarcElbichon’s picture

I don't know if this is the cause but when viewing the page http://www.dgfumc.org/calendar, i've a javascript error :

Uncaught TypeError: Property '$' of object [object Window] is not a function in http://www.dgfumc.org/sites/all/themes/dgsummer/js/scripts.js

Can you correct this before ?

Can you change too in insertframe.js line
var innerDocHeight = el.scrollHeight < el.offsetHeight ? el.scrollHeight : el.offsetHeight;
by var innerDocHeight = el.offsetHeight;
and retry (clear caches to be sure modification will be taken)?

I have the same problem.

Only showing first lines in internet explorer 9.0.
Chrome OK.

Have you tried hack #3 ?

rosborn’s picture

Sorry I haven't responded sooner, but I am particularly busy in my day job at the moment. I tried to fix scripts.js but the fix revealed another error - I need to spend time to decide if I even need the script now. However, it was used on the site when I had the old version of insertFrame installed, which seemed to work. I made the other changes you suggested in #3 and it didn't seem to help. Testing is tricky because I have to rely on other people using Internet Explorer.

I don't want to add too much noise to this thread before I've had a chance to really check out the systematics.

You said bug is here since you updated to 2.2. What was the previous version of insertFrame (working version) ?

MarcElbichon’s picture

Can you replace all code of insertframe.js by 2.1 version :

function adjustHeight(obj, offset) {
	var helpFrame = jQuery("#" + obj.name);
	var innerDoc = (helpFrame.get(0).contentDocument) ? helpFrame.get(0).contentDocument : helpFrame.get(0).contentWindow.document;
	helpFrame.height(innerDoc.body.scrollHeight + offset);
}

Clear caches and retry

I was using 2.1 before the upgrade.

Commited to dev
Have changed
var innerDocHeight = el.scrollHeight < el.offsetHeight ? el.scrollHeight : el.offsetHeight;
by
var innerDocHeight = el.scrollHeight > el.offsetHeight ? el.scrollHeight : el.offsetHeight;
in insertframe.js

Can you test ?
