I am logged in as admin and tried to install. It won't install, just gives the following. And if I try to install again, it says it is already installed though it doesn't show in the list of modules. Since I am in limbo, I guess I will have to find all the files and uninstall it manually.

vm commentedThat doesn't remove the installation data from the database. Modules should be tested on a test site before moving them into production.
I can't reproduce this issue with the stable 1.1 release. Have you tried the 1.1 ?

flightrisk commentedThis isn't on a real site, I have wampserver on my windows XP machine and test it all there. Strangely, I did delete the main folder under "sites" and re-installed and it works. I think there may be other issues with either Drupal or wampserver in general because I get a lot of 30 second database errors when saving a configuration screen and often when installing a module, there will be a very quick flash of some kind of php error and then it shows the progress bar. Sometimes the install of a module seems to work fine despite that error I can't catch. Thanks for replying.

vm commentedDB time outs can be adjusted in my.ini or my.cnf - google will aid here.
