I was trying to do the same thing. In my case I'm trying to embed entityform IEF on another entityform submission page.

Unfortunately this results in empty entityform created from IEF and no parent entityform is saved. This is something I got trying to do it myself and your module gives me same result. #2101693: Entityforms and Inline Entity Form

Is it working for you and if yes what is your setup?

Yes, it's working OK for me.

I've got an entityform reference associated with a Drupal Commerce line item type. This means that a user needs to fill out a form of my choosing when they add a specific product type to their cart.

The entityform is saved (but in draft mode) at that stage. A minor patch to the entityform module (#2146395: New rules action -> Remove draft status) now means I can change that draft status via rules during checkout.

I think the problem here is that the entityform module keeps a copy of the entityform in $form_state['entityform']. So that the save handler keeps working, the inline_entityform_form module pops a copy of *its* form in there as well, so the original would get overwritten by the entity from the embedded form.

I'm not sure if I can turn $form_state['entityform'] into an array and push the embedded form one onto that, so both it and its parent remain available. That might mean entityform needs a patch.

Thanks for replying. I think for now I'll embed my entityforms on a node because this is just too crazy use case and maybe not worth fixing :)

I'll close this issue as soon as I got it working - tommorow hopefully.
