Search Sort By option doesnt work

Hi,
if I go to search for modules for example, and let's say I enter in "Search Modules" sitemap and then I choose Sort By "Most Installed" search page always returns results sorted by relevancy. Not only that, every time I set Most installed, it turns back to Relevancy instead leaving option I set "Most installed".

Try to search sorted by Most installed. Results will be sorted by relevancy instead by most installed, and you can check manually. Open first couple results and see numbers in Reported installs on each. First on list has like 47 and second has like 340+ which clearly confirms that it didnt sort by Most installed. Or that or some statistics is broken or there is something else taken into account when using Search by Most installed but its not written anywhere.

If you need further information, let me know. If I didnt post on the right part, please move to the proper place. I asked on IRC and search drupal.org trying to find where to post this and couldnt find nor get any data nor from search nor from IRC.
