imce_install_profiles() undefined function call

Copied files to folder 'sites\all\modules', selected module under Administer/Site Building/Modules and when saving configuration the following error message appeared:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function imce_install_profiles() in C:\www\ChazTest\htdocs\xampp\sites\all\Modules\IMCE\imce.install on line 15

Moved folder to the main Modules folder but error appeared again.

Able to repeat this a number of times.

Currently using xampp (1.7.3) as a localhost on a WinXP box.
