This issue is regarding "no browser tab in user profile in drupal 8"

This issue has been fixed last year (https://www.drupal.org/project/imce/issues/2858430), but the patch doesn't really work anymore.

I know the patch was committed to dev and not to stable. Can we get an update for this feature and have it committed to stable?

There is a weird way of doing it..I added a custom link to File Browser to my admin menu and added custom JS to open it in a new tab.
