Hi ufku
Thank you for coming up with this wonderful module.
Have you tried Google Apps Sites WYSIWYG editor yet?
Its image attachment is probably the best in the world -- simple and intuitive.
Is it possible to make IMCE something like Google Sites editor?
When a poster wants to attach an image to his post, he only wants to
upload an image and then attach it to his post. He does not care about
the images uploaded previously to the server. So the image attachment
process should be very simple:
1) user click a Image button 2
2) user click Browse button to select an image file on his local computer
3) user click Upload button to upload image file to server
4) user click Attach button to attach image to his post
And that's it.
The uploader program should rename the image filename if there is duplicate
on the server -- so that it will not overwrite the existing namesake file.
Maybe all files should be renamed by appending a timestamp to their filenames.
Also, by default, the attached image should be made a hyperlink which will
open the image file in a new window.
Attached here are the screen shots showing how easy it is to attach
an image in Google Apps Sites WYSIWYG editor:

tallsimon CreditAttribution: tallsimon commented+1 for this. not very user friendly at present, but best image module for multiple user setup IMO, please make IMCE integrate more with the add image interface, rather than be an additional step and users have to know to 'send to' the editor.

thallesThis can cause issues with users permissions, managed by IMCE, so I will close this issue.
