Hi @thalles Thanks for your maintainership and continued work on this module.

Is there any update on a 2.3 or 3.0 release roadmap or timeline?

I'm testing Acquia Cohesion (Now called Site Studio) for Drupal 9, which includes IMCE as a dependency, and it is a shame that the deprecation warning issue for Drupal 9 #3146463: Remove theme declaration for imce_page is not out in an official release yet.

Looking at the IMCE project's git graph, there are quite a lot of commits since the 2.2 release. It probably makes sense at the very least either tag a 2.3 release which includes the Drupal 9 fix(es), or draw a line in the sand and tag release 3.0-alpha1.

Hi @jwilson3, I think version 2.3 or 3.0 should have been released by now, but I'm not allowed to release a new version, so we should wait for @ufku.

Just released 8.x-2.3 version that contains bug fixes.

For 3.x release the new features must be provided as patches and must be reviewed by the community. The number of reviews should give an idea about the necessity of a feature. We should keep the core as light as possible.
