Hey,
I'd like to let user's write their own text on images and also choose which location on the image (left,middle,right)
with a choice of fonts. is this possible ? please help! waiting for reply (:

That's quite a way out of scope, this module doesn't have any user-facing UI that would do this, you'd have to do a bit of that yourself.

It could be done using imagecache_custom_actions, if you saved the right sort of data into node fields (like CCK) then retrieved them with your own PHP at rendering time, but there are probably better ways to do that. To make a useful UI, I'd suggest your own module. You could use the imagecache_text image api callback to do the actual rendering, so that would help, but deciding what to render and what rules to use would be your job.
