Regarding imagecache_actions OnkelTem provided a patch to support most simple actions which current implementation don't.

Please include the patch for function _imageapi_imagemagick_convert($source, $dest, $args) as it's been tested by multiple community participants and it works perfectly.

Additionally i strongly recommend if someone likes to port imagemagick api to other interfaces, please start a different api module. Please don't patch this command line api since there are hosts that allow to use "convert" while they don't have IMagick or vice versa. So same backend but different APIs means different api implementations and different modules.
I still would love to see those implementation to mature and get improved.

you should either move that issue to this issue queue or post the patch to this issue. it makes no sense to mark an issue with no patch as RTBC.

also your other comments don't make any sense. how are they related to this module?

reviewing the original issue i'm not so certain that the code was as well reviewed as it was suggested.
