Similiar Post was NOT a Solution for my issue which STILL Exists. So Creating a New Post.
Drupal update from versions 6.18 to 6.19 & now complete to version 6.20 - installation all OK EXCEPT for:
ImageAPI 6.x-1.8 will not update to 6.x-1.9
(Issue has Remainded the same throughout all 3 minor update procedures)
After several installations attemps to update from 6.x-1.8 to 6.x-1.9, Status Reports continues to show out of date module.
Available Updates still indicates ImageAPI 6.x-1.8 and update required/available to version 6.x-1.9.
6.x-1.9 installed in proper folder: Sites > All > Modules > imageapi
Any help appreciated!

foc commentedimageapi.info shows correct version but does not update.
version = "6.x-1.9"
core = "6.x"
project = "imageapi"

sgwealti commentedI have the same problem.
Comment #3
vm commentedThis tends to happen with modules when there is more than one copy of a module uploaded to a drupal install. Check every folder for a second copy of imageapi. If drupal can see the old version it won't update to the new version.
If the above fixes your issue please mark this as fixed.

vm commentedComment #10
foc commentedimageapi was also found in ddblock module. (appears Part of that Module) No update for that requested.
Removed and updated with views_slideshow_ddblock-6.x-2.0. FIXED!
Comment #11
vm commented#10 sounds like an accidental drop as there is no imageapi folder in the ddblock.module when downloaded from drupal.org
