After installing jquery_update, I discovered that Image caption will only work with jQuery 1.5. All captions are lost when switching to 1.7, 1.8, 1.9...

Image Caption is a great & very useful module. I think it would make a lot of sense to update it so it can run with more modern versions of jQuery.

And then I thought about testing Image Caption and jQuery Update with Insert on https://simplytest.me/ and it all works just fine right up to jQuery 2.1.

So I was wrong. OK, now I need to find out why it breaks on my relatively vanilla Drupal 7.43...

Got it. My very own patch #1127986: Support for Alt and Title captions. was flawed, doh!

I have since updated the patch and now it all works fine with all versions of jQuery (from 1.5 to 2.1).
