When a user uploads an image with a ' in the filename the command is not being escaped properly, and doesn't complete correcly.

This should be fixed in both 4.7 and 5.0 branches now : http://drupal.org/node/70742
This is post 4.7.3, though - maybe you should gate the latest 4.7 branch via cvs

Please reopen if you still have the issue after that :-)
