Heyas,

I've set it up so that I can attach images to blogs. They upload correctly, however I'm getting 2 annoying problems:

a) The image sets itself to the far right and moved sidebar last below it.
b) When I upload a new image, it doesn't only appear within the blog, but also as a file upload. Is there anyway to stop these being automatically published?

b) You can configure the default "promoted to front page" status for new image nodes in your content-type settings.

You might want to try to get further support at http://drupal.org/support. Additionally, the answer to your question might be covered in the handbooks at http://drupal.org/handbook/modules/image already. If that does not help, consider getting further support in IRC; see http://drupal.org/irc for further information.
If you were able to solve this issue on your own in the meantime, you might want to add the involved steps to this closed issue, so other users searching for a similar solution might find it.
