Image Gallery Access 5.x-1.x-dev

Under "Access control" for ?q=admin/content/image/edit/whatevergallery, in the column "Post in this gallery:", I've checked (allowed perm) for auth'd user

However, with Image Gallery Access installed OR NOT, I can't find where an auth'd user can upload (post) an image directly into any given gallery (album)

Does this feature/capability not exist? Can only admins post to (import to) galleries?

Create content | Image, and select the gallery from the drop-down selection box.

I see no select list option @ node/add/image - for user1 or any other auth'd user w/ create/edit own perms - should there be? (yes I've created a number of galleries - though they contain 0 images yet)

And BTW - while a user is viewing a gallery and decides to add an image - how would THEY know to go to node/add/image?

Seems there should be a link on every gallery page/view, if that's where they need to go to post to a gallery - at least for users w/ create/edit own perms.

Any help would be appreciated

I'm sorry, I have to transfer you to Image. Please disable Image Gallery Access for now and get Image and Image Gallery working first.

Create content | Image, same as for any other content.

Maybe it'll help you if you enable the Forum core module and check out how Forum works. Image & Image Gallery work in pretty much the same way, i.e. you define a special taxonomy which is your Forum / Image Gallery structure, and on the form where you create the content of that type, you get a drop-down selection box that lets you choose your forum / gallery.

I have disabled IGA as you suggested - still no gallery selection drop-down list @ node/add/image

Both IMG and IMG GAL are "working" - they did before I added IGAccess, and "work" the same after IGA was enabled - at least as far as being able to create img nodes, create galleries - those abilities are there, just not the gallery list @ node/add/image

I have had forum enabled - and in fact, that's a good analogy, as it's one of the main reasons for my "how would THEY (user, non admin type) know to go to node/add/image?" - to post a new image to the gallery of their choice.

Because - although you say:

That's not exactly true - because - when a user is @ ?q=forum (start of forum) or @ ?q=forum/XX - they always SEE A LINK for "Post new forum topic" - which takes them DIRECTLY to either ?q=node/add/forum/0 or ?q=node/add/forum//XX

The same is not true for Gallery - users are not presented with a visible "Post new Gallery Image" link to ?q=node/add/image/XX or ?q=node/add/image/0 - let alone instructions that might say "If you want to add an image to a gallery, first click on "Create Content", then click on "Image" - yes, WE (admins etc) know how to, I'm just saying casual Users (many) don't - see my point?

But alas - my biggest issue is not getting the select gallery list @ node/add/image - any further suggestions?

Have you enabled vocabulary Image Galleries for content type Image?
Admin -> Content Management -> Categories ->
select Image Galleries
Types: [x] Image

Thank you Henriette - I now have the drop-down gallery select list @ node/add/image!

This step was not mentioned in Install,txt nor Readme.txt

I'm still wondering if others feel as I that there should be "Post new Gallery Image" links to ?q=node/add/image/XX or ?q=node/add/image/0 in gallery as they are (similarly) in forum?

If you let image.module create your image galleries, this is included in the setup - no need to do it manually. Sometimes there's a glitch.

As to adding a "Post new gallery image" link, make a new issue for 6.x-1-dev, cos that's where drewish said new features should go.
