hi

i enabled the image gallery thinking it would suffice my needs of a per user album. but since it did not i disabled it and went for another solution. (acidfree) the problem was after i disabled it, when u tried to upload a pic it would ask which two major distination u want to upload to namely a drop down menu of image galleries of the site (which is none by now) and acidfree albums.

i finally figured out how to get rid of the upload to image gallery option by deleting the "Image Galleries" category in administer >> content management >> categories. i think it should automatically delete that category when someone disables the image galleries sub module.

by the way im not sure which version of image module iam using but i downloaded it just a month ago so it must be quiet new.

Did you disable it in admin/build/modules, or uninstall it at admin/build/modules/uninstall?

The standard behaviour is that disabling a module doesn't remove its data -- you might need to disable it temporarily, for a site upgrade for example.
To remove its data, go to Uninstall.
Looking at the code for Image gallery, that function should do what you want.
