I have just started using Drupal and it is really neat. I am new to this kind of system so I am not always able to manoeuvre my way around all the functionality. I want to edit the image nodes created when I imported my images. I created a gallery called Photos which houses all the images but on the home page where the thumbnails are appearing, I see the date and Posted by. I dont want to see that at all. I only want to have the images displayed without the additional stuff. When I looked at the source of the code, I can see a div class called date and one called author. How do I get rid of those div classes. Please bear in mind that I am a beginner. Thanks for your help!

joachim commentedI just filed an issue about this too: http://drupal.org/node/136767
If you're prepared the hack the code directly, the way to fix this is to comment out a chunk of lines in image_gallery.module at line 283. Like this:
/*
if (theme_get_setting('toggle_node_info_' . $image->type)) {
$content .= '
\n";
if ($image->created > 0) {
$content .= '
\n";
}
}
*/

yoroy commenteddon't hack module code!
go to administer > themes, click the [configure] tab, there you'll find "Display post information on", uncheck the nodetypes where you don't want post-info to appear. Alternatively edit your style.css and add a "display:none" to the relevant classnames.
Also, this is more a support question, would have been better to post this in the forums. Good luck.

drewish commentedyoroy, i think the feature request is that people want it displayed in the normal node view but not on the gallery page. i said as much in the issue this duplicates.
