Hello there!

I've been using Drupal with the image module on my new site for school. The images (with image module and image gallery) are just great, but there's one problem. If an image is bigger than the central content part of my site, it covers my right sidebar... On our school monitors, which all work @ 1024*768 this might be a problem. I have worked with other gallery systems before, and most of them resize the image with GD to fit the browser window. Is this hard to make?

I'm using the Garland theme (fluid version)

Greetings..

you can select the resized images you'd like to make available.

Well i know you can define the size for previews, but the images should be fitting for both high and low resolutions...

if you're looking for dynamic resizing, i.e. you change the browser size and the image scales down, then you're out of luck. but you should be able to pick some sizes that fit on the monitors and have the images scaled appropriately.

You might try using the max-width CSS property on troublesome image elements.
