Extra white space in image.module and image.inc causing issues, and XHTML images

I've attached a patch that takes the white space out of both files (after the closing ?> tag) which caused PHP to start outputting before drupal did its headers. Also, the patch for image.module includes changes so that the outputted img tags throughout the module have the self-closing tag /> and are now XHTML compliant.
