some language variable primary links are missing using the internationalization module using the Getfirefox theme.
I have the primary links set as language variables for the internationalization module and when I add the japanese primary links only 3 of the 6 appear.
It seem that the links after the second link do not appear, except that the last link appears. In other words, from the 3rd to the next to last link do not appear, if that helps.
Is this caused by by the internationalization module?
Any suggestions?

No idea. You better try with another theme and tells us what happens

bdmp commentedAny theme that uses this same theme engine as spreadfirefox has the same problem. It is the PHPTemplate theme engine.
Comment #3
Marc Bijl commentedJust my experience: I've never had such an issue with i18n module in a Drupal 4.6.6 environment. I used to have two sites and they both did fine.
Comment #4
jose reyero commentedMy guessing is that the problem is that phptemplate engine stores additional links in another variable, so you have to add it to 'i18n_variables'
phptemplate_primary_links_more
Please, try and let us know whether it is fixed.

nomad411 commentedAt the end of your settings.php file, you should add a sectioj like this:
/**
* i18n configuration
* These are Drupal variables that will allow different values for each language
*/
$conf['i18n_variables'] = array(
// Main settings
'site_slogan',
'site_mission',
'site_footer',
'anonymous',
// Menu system: primary, secondary links
'menu_primary_menu',
'menu_secondary_menu'
);
What Jose is saying is that in the getfirefox theme, they may use a different variable name than 'menu_primary_menu'.
If so, add it to the list above, in your settings.php file.

bdmp commentedI didn't understand the first explanation and then nomad clarified it for me so this is what my settings.php file looks like after following the advice. I still have the same problem though.
Is this correct? Am I missing something?
Comment #7
jose reyero commentedYes, you've messed v 4.6 configuration - $i18n_variables - with v 4.7 -$conf['i18n_variables']
Comment #8
bdmp commentedSo, can you tell me how to fix it?
Comment #9
jose reyero commentedYes, get rid of the first part
and add the variables in the second list
Comment #10
bdmp commentedThank you for the clarification. I see what is going on now but I got the information that I posted in the settings.php file from the install.txt for 4.6's module so I think that info may be incorrect.
Comment #11
jose reyero commentedYes, actually is the other way round -what I wrote in #9-
I forgot we were talking about 4.6...
Comment #12
bdmp commentedI have had this problem for months and I am getting pretty frusterated. This is the last time I will post.
The problem is still the same as the first post that I made. After I made it the other guy told me to add thoes variables which were from 4.7. So, then I had both 4.7 and 4.6 in there. Then you told me to take out 4.6's. Then you told me you made a mistake and it was backwards. So now I have 4.6's vairables in the config file and I have the SAME PROBLEM I had before. READ THE FIRST POST.
I have the right variables. Why are most of the primary links missing? (this is php_template related)

jose reyero commentedThis has been addressed in newer versions (5.x, 6.x) and Drupal 4.7 is not supported anymore. Please, consider upgrading
