I was following the instructions on http://drupal.org/node/313268 but on my site there is no such "Translation" tab.
I am able to translate the terms through the "Translate Interface" feature, but I would prefer to have a "Translation" tab as shown in the instructions.
Is that feature in the 6.x version?

tiago.gmarques commentedThe translation tab only appears at "list terms" in the vocabulary, if you chose the "Per language terms" at the Translation mode in "edit vocabulary". If you choose the "Localize terms" option you will have to translate the terms through the "Translate Interface".

jose reyero commentedRight, these are different features:
- Creating different terms for each language
- Translating the term's text to different languages
and as such, they are separated in different places.

arhak commentedthe original post doesn't specify what kind of i18n is using for the vocabulary in question
but like answers refer to the difference between "Per language terms" vs "Localize terms" probably the following issue might be found helpful for others
