I am trying to create a site using JSON. I have sent in:

{
"title":"test.com",
"platform": 619
}

and other variations. No site is created and the JSON response is { false }. Is there documentation explaining how this API should be used and a description of the structure of the JSON requests?

I agree, http://community.aegirproject.org/contrib-modules/aegir-services could be somewhat more elaborate.

Since you posted #1699048: Services enhancements you may have already figured this out.

But one gotcha for me was the 'Enable this Platform for Remote Site Creation' checkbox.

I think I did ;). I'm not sure what that does yet. As far as that checkbox, I haven't enabled it, but I can create sites as I see fit. I wonder if something isn't amiss there?

How did you fetch a response?

System.connect works. User.login authenticates and returns the session details.

But none of the hosting_* resources returns anything but "false" or an empty result ...

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<result></result>

(using the Poster Addon for tests)

I should have checked the Services documentation.

There is a page which describes authenticated calls against a Services resource, with examples.
