I just noticed a really bad behavior.

When the due date has passed, I give 0 points to the students who didn't submit the project file, and attached a comment "project past due".

I later noticed, when these students attached past due project, the grade resets to null and the comment is removed. I just tried this by myself using a test account, and is 100% reproducible.

Are you using the new gradebook_attachments submodule? I remember running into that problem while I was making the latest changes. I just tried it with the current version and it behaves as expected. Thanks for the report. Let me know if continue to see problems with the latest dev...
