Even with the option to cache the GA code locally, enabling the module throws "object expected" errors on every page. Annoyingly, all javascript (not just GA) breaks on those pages. This happens in IE 8 and 7. Firefox is unaffected.

Unchecking the module restores Javascript on the affected pages. Specifically, there's a menu expander script on our FAQ and other pages that uses block visibility. The menu links don't work while the GA module is on. As soon as i deactivate the module, the menu js works again.

Despite the error and the breakage of OTHER js, GA itself seems to be working correctly when on - it just breaks my site. Very odd. An example of a page with js that breaks is http://www.phillycarshare.org/are-you-eligible .

Tested the linked URL with IE7, cannot repro -> I cannot see any script errors.

Sounds like a duplicate of #694822: googleanalytics.js is causing an error in IE 8

Ach, sorry. I had to turn off the GA module so the site wasn't broken!

If possible, give me a window you'd want to look at it, and i will turn the module back on? If i leave it on, many important member pages are inaccessible to the 40% still using IE, unfortunately. (your GA module gave me that stat... :) )

Also, i did check the dup report you mention - not the same error.
