I have a Quantcast analytics module based on an older version of the Google Analytics module. Quantcast.com is an open audience measurement service that builds a model of your site's traffic via measurement and an interesting statistical technique.

I finished around the time that Drupal.org stopped taking new projects, so I was not sure want to do with it. The zip file is attached based on 5.1-1,5 , I think.

The module seems to install the script in a theme sometimes, just like the Google Analytics module its based on.

I think that we should merge it with the new Google Analytics module version some how. Any ideas?

There is no attachment. I don't know Quantcast Analytics, but if this is not from Google I don't know what we should merge here. I'm not aware that Drupal.org stopped to accept new projects!???

I don't know Quantcast, but it looks like the damn Alexa. It's something the world don't need especial the trojans toolbar from Alexa.

Quantcast is not Alexa.

The Quantcast panel of know people are selected like Nelson families, there is no push for people to install a Quantcast tool bar. I'll leave the rest of the marketing to Quantcast. (Yes, I worked for them at one point.)

I'd hate to be playing catchup to he google_analytics module all of the time with the quantcast module, which is why I suggested the merge. The changes I made were simply labeling and pointing to a differ javascript file.

I thought that drupal.org was not providing CVS space for new projects.
I'll look into getting this to be a Drupal hosted module.

But we are building a Google Analytics module here not a module for any other unrelated and unknown product that wish to become popular... :-)

@sasconsul, Drupal hasn't closed itself to new modules. The best thing for you to do is to apply for a CVS account, check your code into CVS, then create a quantcast analytics project.

@hass, Quantcast is definitely not Google Analytics, but I just did have a client ask me to install the tracking codes. I put the codes directly into the theme, but a quantcast module would allow the client to enable/disable this and modify their client codes.d
