Although michaek hasn't released any code I noticed in this thread he had submitted the beginnings of a module: http://drupal.org/node/263459#comment-2322884

I've attached my Drupal 7 version of this module to this post for anyone to use if they want. It only works with jQuery and not with jQuery UI as Google only provides a single monolithic file for all of jQuery UI which isn't compatible with Drupal's modular approach to jQuery UI.

I've also submitted a patch to jquery update over here: http://drupal.org/node/263459#comment-3650528

I think its the way to go rather than another module but I'm open to discussion of course.

Hi, folks. Sorry to leave you hanging on this. I really don't like CVS, so I was hoping to get the code in here once the git system is up.

I feel like there's already been a lot of discussion (See #647132: michaek [michaek]) about why this isn't part of jquery_update, so I'd prefer not to get back into it here.
