The missing schema issue will prevent all new users from using the module unless they can apply a patch, and this would be limited to users that actually spend the time to even look into the issue!

I love this module, such a simple lightweight solution to gmaps, so this is just a push to ensure it's success.

Far less people will be using this if these core bugs are not fixed in the downloadable release! The Google API change was nearly a half year ago now (5 months)! Please take the five minutes to tag up a new release, or simply check the checkbox in the Drupal project area to release the dev version!

Bumping to critical as this correlates to a number of closed critical issues that have been applied to HEAD but not yet been made available for download.

PS I'm still loving the module.

My favorite is a hacked geo POINT field that hooks into Google maps via a popup, but this next on my list. GMaps & Location is just a big mess at the moment, and we have sooo.... many issues with that combo.
