After upgrading the markers on a macro that I created don't show anymore. I am using the latest version of Drupal. I don't see any errors. Is there something I am missing. I checked input settings, they seem to be correct as well.

tacoparty commentedI'm having a similar problem. I can't get my markers to display in IE or Chrome. I can see them in Firefox and Opera. I've tried completely deleting the GMaps and Location modules and reinstalling/resetting them up with my nodes, but that didn't work. Not really sure what else to try. I had them working just fine up until two days ago. The only thing that changed on the site was that I added the Fivestar and Voting API modules; however, I had not even enabled those yet. I deleted them just in case but still having the same problem.
Comment #2
tacoparty commentedWell, I finally figured out what was happening. I also had a Twitter widget running in the left rail that apparently was causing the markers to not show in IE. In case anybody else has the same problem, that's what worked for me. I just removed that widget from my page.tpl.php and they came back.
Comment #3
Zarevac commentedI have none of the kind modules running so I am still looking for a solution.
Comment #4
izmeez commentedHave you tried using the latest Gmap 6.x-1.x-dev version?
Comment #5
Zarevac commentedYes, no avail the problem remains.
Comment #6
Zarevac commentedBtw, I am using the latest version of PHP recently. Could this be a problem?
I did figure out that if I use the Build Gmap Macro the markers do show when I click. But when I copy and paste the code into a story I see the map but no markers.
Comment #7
izmeez commentedIf you mean you are using php 5.3 - I'm no expert but I remember there was initially a problem but that was fixed in the Gmap module dev version some time ago and I haven't come across other related issues. You can always search the module issue queue.
Comment #8
MatthewDodwell commentedJust upgraded to the latest dev version (29-Apr-2010) from the dev version of (24-Jan-2010) and find the markers on gmaps via view are blank. There is no data displayed in the marker. The label is displayed, but not node data. e.g. "Title: "
Reverting to the previous version has successfully got the required functionality back
Comment #9
Zarevac commentedHmm, tried reverting back. No changes.
Comment #10
OpenSourcer commentedJust got the same problem. Except that the markers appear but when I zoom in, they disappear. Please help!!!! It was working fine up until now. The only change I made was adding the Google Earth option to GMap. I then removed it thinking that this was the problem but same situation. :-(
Comment #11
OpenSourcer commentedAlmost had a heart attack.
I changed the gmap.module
line:28
from
define('GMAP_API_VERSION', '2.115');
to
define('GMAP_API_VERSION', '2.153');
and it worked again.
Comment #12
hutch commentedWhat happens if you change it to
define('GMAP_API_VERSION', '2.x');
or
define('GMAP_API_VERSION', '2.s');
see
http://code.google.com/apis/maps/documentation/index.html#API_Updates
In my opinion one of the reasons things don't work sometimes is due to this use of an old version 2.115
Comment #13
Zarevac commentedWell, tried this solution but still didn't resolve it :-(
Comment #14
truyenle commentedChange the GMAP_API_VERSION Doesn't work for me either!
Comment #15
truyenle commentedI found a post here http://groups.drupal.org/node/19614 which describe detail about how to use view + GMAP + Location module to create a map with marker nicely.
In case anyone interested in.
Comment #16
obstikle commentedI had a similar problem with markers disappearing.
I found that under some circumstances the
base_path()part ofDrupal.gmap.iconpathin the "sites/default/files/js/gmap_markers.js" file was returning the wrong value.Setting
$base_urlin settings.php fixed this.Comment #17
izmeez commented@obstikle Doesn't using $base_url in the settings file also make Drupal store absolute filepath names rather than relative for all file uploads?
e.g. http://example.com/sites/files/... rather than /sites/files/...
Comment #18
obstikle commented@izmeez I don't think so. At least, I haven't noticed this behaviour.
I should point out that I was using drupal in a sub-folder, so http://example.local/my-drupal-install-folder
Sometimes gmap_markers.js was generating
Drupal.gmap.iconpath = "/sites/all/modules/gmap/markers";instead ofDrupal.gmap.iconpath = "/my-drupal-install-folder/sites/all/modules/gmap/markers";. Hence why the markers weren't being displayed.Comment #19
