I have changed the link to read Attractions Map. My Nodes are considered Attractions. When I click the newly named Attractions Map Link, the Map Title still reads as Node Locations. How can I change the Name of the Map Title?

Is that the result of a view...? Try editing the view.

No, this is Node Locations straight out of the box. You will have a link called Node locations. When you click it, you get a map with all the nodes where you have added location information.

You can change the link name, I have to Attractions Map. However, I cannot change the title that appears abouve the map form Node locations.

Would I be better off creating a view? Specailly if I want to create several different map views over time? Say, only attractions I have reviewed map?

I suspect that you are using the gmap_location module which is part of gmap, not location
When you hover over the 'Node locations' link, does it point to 'map/node'?

If so, a quick fix would be to edit gmap_location.module, circa line 79 and alter
'title' => 'Node locations', to suit your needs.

Then put in a feature request on the Gmap issue queue or better still provide a patch.

Thanks Hutch. That's why I couldn't find it in Location :-) I saw the logic when I did a "View Source" on the webpage, but I couldn't tell where the code originated from. I have a few custom "tweakes" I maintain in a spreadsheet that I repost if any module updates occur to the modules I have tweaked.

Project: Location » GMap Module
Version: 6.x-3.1-rc1 » 6.x-1.x-dev

changing this to the gmap module, I'm not sure about the version info.

I have updated the Node locations title in the Gmap_location.module. It works like a charm. I am closing this issue.

Try to edit it via menu editor. By default the menu item is on Navigation.
