I think a content_profile is not a real nodetype.

How to fix it?

I don't know this module, does it use the user id?

you could try
getdirections/location_user/$direction/$uid

where $direction is the direction eg 'to' and $uid is the user id
Also try it with the dev version, it has more features.

Content profile is a true node type and is working for me with getdirections/location/to/$nid, so perhaps you have something else causing problems here.
