Russia and Antarctica both have areas larger than one million km2 which are represented as exponential numbers (ex. Russia 1.70752E7). These should be converted to "normal" floats by the module so the output is on the same form for all countries and continents.

The problem is that the exponential number format is what is literally returned by the web-service. Sure, we could convert it to a plain string, but the API doesn't know what *type* any of the fields are (since it's all handled generically).

Suggest you perform this conversion in your application?

$areainsqkm = (string)(float)$areainsqkm;

Any conversion of exponential numeric values to their full version would be very specific and brittle, so an uncomfortable solution.
