This project page has a paragraph that I'm unclear of the meaning of:

Since 8.x-1.40 version the Geofield Map module require at least the Geofield 8.x-1.0-beta1, and older. Till the 8.x-1.35 version the Geofield Map will still require (and properly work only with) Geofield 8.x-1.0-alpha* versions.

Could this be reworded for clarity?

Really so unclear?
This is the first complain about this .. and I then guess not so much unclear.
Anyway I amended/reworded in the following way:

Alert !

Since 8.x-1.40 version, Geofield Map module requires (depends on) Geofield 8.x-1.0-beta1 version, and older.
Previous versions will still require (and properly work only with) Geofield 8.x-1.0-alpha* versions.

Feel free to further suggest me even a better way to explain,
as I am not english mother tongue and fairly confident you can guess what it is meant, isn't it?
