Hi all,
I've noticed that in the last version of Gallery Assist (6.x-1.11 - 2010-Apr-25) the image fields are no more sortable.
There's some kind of configuration that i missed or you have choosen to remove this functionality from the module (in the previous version 6.x-1.9-beta2 this functionality was active by default - and it worked great)?
Thanks for you help!

kevinquillen commentedIt seems like if you enable the pager limit on a node, the sorting goes away and it makes you manually weight the images per GA page. If you have no pager limit (Ie, can see all images in the node edit) you get the drag and drop sort.
I think it should be drag and drop no matter what your preference is.

I don't know what do you mean "enable the pager limit on a node". Where can I find this setting? Have you an screenshot or more detailed info, please.
TIA

hoss-1 commentedChange "Pager limit in the node edit form" option to "none" in ~/admin/settings/gallery_assist/extras under Others group.

kevinquillen commentedBut that is the root of the issue, I believe.

d_m_r commentedworking with 1.18 i just found this to work for me as described in #3 - but the cover button at the bottom of the "edit one item" page (witch only shows up with GA Views installed for me) disappeared until i change the pager limit back to 10 (or probably any other given number)... imo it would be nice to have both "drag'n'drop- sorting" and "setting the gallery cover" unaffected by the pager limit and the Views addition.
otherwise i'm the fool by having it all backwards or wrong in some other fancy way :-)
