I have Drupal setup with Gallery2 integrated and it seems to be working fine. What I would like to do now is import a large existing Gallery2 database into this Drupal/Gallery Integration. Bother Galleries are running current v2.3 and they are on the same server. Both databases have g2_ prefix on gallery tables.
I copied my g2data folder to /home directory of the target site. I tried doing a command line mysqldump to import the source database into the target database but the site didn't work after that so I restored the database from backup.
Can anyone give me the pointers that I need to do this properly so it works?
Thanks-

lvthunder commentedJust edit config.php in G2 to point to the existing db and wherever you put the g2data folder. The in Drupal run the sync part of the gallery module.

briandmiller commentedDo you mean the user sync?

briandmiller commentedIs there something I should be doing to prepare my data folder before copying to the new location?

briandmiller commentedI got the data imported to new location but I could only access the gallery from http://website/gallery2 couldn't get into Drupal or login to gallery.

alexandreracine commented1-backup everything.
2-You don't need to import anything.
2-1-Install Drupal
2-2-Install Gallery (or use existing one)
2-3-Install the gallery module for drupal. Configure it, and voilà.
There you go.
Reopen if needed.

mecvo1984 commentedI would like to use Gallery2 in drupal 6 but first have to migrate the Firebird (.fbd) database from Extensis Portfolio portweb. Has anyone done that successfully? I've been unable to find any process for that on the Gallery2 site forums or here. The ultimate goal is to get Extensis (thousands of images and keywords from the .fbd db) into Gallery2, then integrate Gallery2 into Drupal 6.
If anyone has suggestions that would be great. Many thanks in advance....
