1. Create a Drupal role.
2. Assign a user (that was previously able to access G2) to the new role.
3. Try to access G2. Fails with the message: 'Access denied You are not authorized to access this page.'.
The message is from Drupal rather than G2.
If the user is removed from the Drupal role, G2 access is restored.
It makes no difference whether the role is explicitly granted G2 access in access control or not, although according to the Drupal docs, user-defined roles should inherit all the 'authenticated user' permissions anyway so explicitly granting G2 access to the new role should not be necessary.

profix898 commentedCan you please try the latest version of the gallery module for Drupal 5. There was a patch (http://drupal.org/node/91343) committed two days ago trying to fix the problem of 'authenticated users' not being synched correctly with Gallery2. I will take a closer look at this tomorrow, but at a first try it seems to work correctly for me.
