I'm using Front Page and it's working perfectly with one exception: the page hook doesn't work in google chrome, so the front page is displayed with the wrong page template. I've tried using page--front, page--frontpage(my content type) and page--node--48. They all work in every browser but Chrome. I've been using these two code snippets as page pre-processes in various themes with no problems. Now it seems with my zen sub-theme with Front Page that they work with all browsers except google chrome. What gives? Has anyone else had this problem? Neither of the following work:
function gordoncustom_preprocess_page(&$variables, $hook) {
$variables['sample_variable'] = t('Lorem ipsum.');
}
function gordoncustom_preprocess_page(&$vars) {
if (!empty($vars['node'])) {
$vars['theme_hook_suggestions'][] = 'page__' . $vars['node']->type;
}
Dont believe me? Check out the following link in any browser other than Chrome, then Chrome:
