Activating Front Page changes CSS

Hi there,

whenever I activate my front page, it changes the CSS on my nodequeue on my normal front page (i.e. the page you get to when you go to /home/)

my website is www.amnesty.org.nz

currently the front page is activated, and as you can see (once you've clicked through to http://www.amnesty.org.nz/home) the "Latest News" nodequeue on the bottom right has little thumbnail images. These DO NOT appear when front page is not activated.

I've attached two screenshots to be completely clear!

any help would be appreciated!
