Hi Folks, I have Forward version 6.x-1.2 installed and I need to update it to 6.x-1.12 (2010-Jan-06). I've tried the normal installation procedure and it won't see the new version. Now I've tried uninstalling it, deleting the Forward folder and it still shows up in the modules list. So then with the help of someone in the forums I tried deleting it directly from the database... it still wont go away and I can't upgrade it to the newer version. Any direction would be most appreciated. Jim.

Hi, any update on this? I can't upgrade the forward module also. When I removed the old folder after disabling it and upload the new version, drupal still detects the old version of the forward module after refreshing the module list.

Are you sure you're looking in the right place? It could be in any of the following locations and it's possible you've got multiple copies:

/modules
/sites/all/modules
/sites/domain.com/modules

Hi,

Thanks for the input but I checked my modules folder, sites/all/modules folder (thats where it was) and I don't have a /sites/all/modules. Wish I could make it work :(

I wish I knew what to tell you guys - I've never seen anything like that. Any chance one of you could give me server access so I can try and debug it?

Hi I was able to update now the forward module. I backuped my current version of the forward module by renaming it to oldforward. It seems that drupal is still detecting that folder. So i deleted that after copying it to my local. I then extracted the new version and drupal was able to detect the new version.

Thanks for the update elleoj, I will try that. seanr, thanks for your offer to look at the server. I'm traveling now and can't work on it but when I can I'll try elleoj's method, if that fails I'll get you access. I appreciate your help very much.
