kody commentedHow can I help debug this further?
andrewlevine commentedWhat happens when you run this command from your server: wget http://api.flickr.com/services/rest/

kody commentedAfter some hunting, I realized that drupal was unable to reach any 3rd party site. The server had changed some setting that prevented drupal from doing update checks, flickr functionality, etc.

mkrakowiak commentedHi kody,
I'm experiencing the same problem - my server has not been able to contact any 3rd party site, and my web host doesn't know what the problem is. What did you do to fix it?
jpshayes commentedHi mkrakowiak,
Did you ever figure this out? I just transfered servers and I too am experiencing the same problem.
Error reads
Could not connect to Flickr, Error: Permission denied.
mkrakowiak commentedIt got fixed long time ago... I don't remember now what it was though. I think it was some server config settings that I had to ask my web host to fix. Test it on other server and see if you get similar outcome.
Sorry that I can't help you more.
jpshayes commentedI figured it out. The server I was using was blocking outbound connections. I had to submit a request for them to open up the ip address and port I was trying to connect to.

oivasyk commentedTry to use dev version of module, or try to change FLICKR_REST_ENDPOINT from http://api.flickr.com/services/rest/ to https://api.flickr.com/services/rest . Hope it would be helpful for somebody.
